Mr. Wehrle joined the firm of Gallop, Johnson & Neuman, L.C. in January 2001, when the law firm of Susman, Schermer, Rimmel & Shifrin, L.L.C. was dissolved.  Mr. Wehrle also has 25 years experience as an attorney in the St. Louis County Counselor's office.  The last 14 years in that office he held the position of County Counselor.  Prior to his tenure with the County Counselor's office, Mr. Wehrle was in general practice as a partner in the law office of Wehrle & Wehrle.

As County Counselor, Mr. Wehrle headed a legal staff of 20 to 24 attorneys representing St. Louis County in all civil litigation and advising the County Executive, members of the County Council and all County departments, boards and commissions on legal matters.  He has argued cases before the United States Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of Missouri, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri and the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District.  Also, he is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.  He has tried jury and non-jury cases in the Missouri counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, Jefferson, Franklin, Maries, Warren and Montgomery and the City of St. Louis.

Mr. Wehrle was general counsel for the City of Ellisville Industrial Development Authority and was appointed special attorney for the City of Ellisville and the City of Peerless Park regarding specific legal matters.  He was consultant to the Montgomery County Planning Commission in drafting the first zoning ordinance for that County.

Mr. Wehrle has represented clients before various administrative agencies such as the State Tax Commission of Missouri, and the Boards of Equalization and Zoning Adjustment and Planning Commission of St. Louis County and before various city legislative bodies, Planning Commissions and Boards of Adjustment.
